Summer School: Ethics, Data & Innovation in the International Research Community

Collaborative research projects are a key aspect of international research, and the biomedical sciences. To respond to ethical issues raised by biomedical research, training on the ethics of research and innovation is crucial.

This summer, Uppsala University’s Centre for Research Ethics & Bioethics (CRB) and the Biomedical Research Foundation of the Academy of Athens (BRFAA) are co-organising a summer school titled “Ethics, Data & Innovation in the International Research Community“. The event takes place in Athens, Greece 15-19 June 2020 and provides an opportunity for researchers to familiarise themselves with the main aspects of bioethics, data protection and intellectual property. And learn how to use this knowledge for the purpose of conducting original scientific research in compliance with international ethical principles, standards and regulations.

Applications opened 1 February 2020.

Deadline is 13 March 2020. 30 participants will be selected.

The summer school is cost-free. Participants will only need to arrange their travel and accommodation in Athens.
